We have divided our work plan into 9 work packages (WPs), 6 technical and 3 commercial. The 3 first technical WPs will develop the brain implant prototype, including leads, electronics and their integration. WP4 will focus on the robotic implantation procedure and WP5 on the preclinical validation and the closed-loop software development. Finally, in WP6 we will address the regulatory and clinical needs to prepare a future FIH trial. WP7 and WP8 will take care of dissemination, communication and exploitation activities, and WP9 will deal with overall project management.
The project results will be coming soon
Advancing the Future of Precision Neurotechnology
MINIGRAPH has brought together leading researchers, clinicians, engineers and innovators across Europe to advance a new generation of minimally invasive neural interface technologies. By combining graphene-based bioelectronics, intelligent implantable systems, robotic implantation approaches and translational research, the project has contributed to expanding the technological foundations required for future adaptive therapies for neurological disorders.
Beyond scientific and technological progress, MINIGRAPH has strengthened collaboration across academia, industry and healthcare, helping to accelerate the translation of emerging neurotechnologies towards real-world clinical applications. The project has generated valuable knowledge, technological assets, scientific publications, intellectual property, stakeholder engagement activities and pathways for future exploitation and clinical adoption.
The outcomes of MINIGRAPH contribute to Europe’s leadership in advanced neurotechnology and support the long-term vision of safer, more effective and more personalised therapies for patients affected by neurological conditions.
